Unlike elections there is no real way of knowing or predicting the winner of the Veepstakes. Still, every four years it's always one of the biggest stories with news organizations pouring huge resources into trying to get the scoop.
I have no such resources and am not a giant news organization, but with Barack Obama's announcement of his vice presidential choice imminent and reports from Obama himself that he has decided on his VP I've listened to the few words Obama has said about his choice, watching the body language and behavior of the VP "shortlist", doing some educated guess work and some plain old guessing I've concluded that Senator Joseph Biden of Delaware has been selected as Barack Obama's vice presidential running mate.
