But this has bigger implications then that. On November 4th everywhere in American John McCain and Sarah Palin will be on the ballot and Sarah Palin would not have gotten to that place had it not been for Ted Stevens. Sarah Palin is a Ted Stevens Republican. I have written a lot about that fact here's a overview of their tight working relationship.
-Sarah Palin served as a director for a 527 group organized by Stevens right as Palin was building her statewide profile for a statewide run.
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin began building clout in her state's political circles in part by serving as a director of an independent political group organized by the now embattled Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens.
Palin's name is listed on 2003 incorporation papers of the "Ted Stevens Excellence in Public Service, Inc.," a 527 group that could raise unlimited funds from corporate donors. The group was designed to serve as a political boot camp for Republican women in the state. She served as one of three directors until June 2005, when her name was replaced on state filings.
Palin's relationship with Alaska's senior senator may be one of the more complicated aspects of her new position as Sen. John McCain's running mate; Stevens was indicted in July 2008 on seven counts of corruption.
-Video of Stevens endorsing Palin in a ad was uncovered. (It has since been scrubbed from her site)
-As a long time freind and supporter Stevens was naturally very happy that his freind Palin was picked as VP.
It's a great day for the nation and Alaskans. Governor Palin has proven herself as a bright, energetic leader for our State and will bring the same energy to the Vice Presidency. She will serve our country with distinction - the first Alaskan and first woman on the Republican ticket. I share in the pride of all Alaskans.-After all, Stevens and Palin go way back.
I have known and worked with Sarah for over a decade from her service as Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, in her role as president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors, and most recently as our Governor. She is attentive to her job and family, brings people together, and is able to make tough decisions. It may be a strong endorsement, but it's about as useful as "Brownie" saying you are qualified to handle emergency. But I guess friends stick together, when Stevens was indicted Palin said it "would be premature" to call for his resignation.
-Palin has supported the infamous Bridge to Nowhere that Ted Steven's championed.
-Palin's campaign manager and chief of staff recently signed on to run his campaign.
-Blogger Dean Barker dug up this
"It is so encouraging to hear again that Senator Stevens and I are singing from the same sheet of music," said Governor Palin.-With a little digging I found more.
The Senator and I are working closely togetherKeep in mind this is a indicted, corrupt and unpopular senator we are talking about. But there is more.
Over the course of the last few months, the Governor has unveiled a multi-phase statewide energy plan that puts Alaskans first and mirrors the Senator’s efforts on the Senatorial level.
-The Jed Report has uncovered some interesting video footage
-Also I found these videos featured prominently on Stevens channel
Let's face it. Ted Stevens and Sarah Palin are political allies. They have had some disagreements but both have helped each other out at key periods of their political careers. Ted Stevens has been convicted on federal on corruption charges and betrayed the public trust. Sarah Palin wants voters to put her a heartbeat away from leading the free world.
It's time to start being honest about that. And it's time to start thinking about if we want someone with such a troubling relationship like that so close to the presidency.
Sarah Palin has accused Barack Obama of "paling around with terrorists" based on shaky connections from decades ago and actions generations ago. Sarah Palin on the other hand has worked closely with a convicted felon up until a few months ago. So the question I have is this.
Why does Sarah Palin pal around with felons?

Keith Olberman should read this along with Hannity!
You need to update...
She has recently called for his resignation...
She's all so political.
don't get me wrong, I do not support her, never have, never will, but let's be totally fair. I'm glad you got all the footage together.
It was so evident from her first lie about the "Bridge to Nowhere"!
